When asked about her fight that was rebooked against the same opponent after the initial matchup fell off, Yana said, “I really wanted this fight but the UFC didn’t ask they rescheduled this fight because it’s a good match up with a close ranking and it’s going to be an interesting fight.”

“She’s a tough opponent and it’s a big challenge for me,” says Yana Kunitskaya

Yana was really clear that she is looking forward to fighting Vieira in the pre-match press conference. Kelten is coming off a win against Sijara Eubanks and is looking to carry her interesting run. When the reporters asked if she feels the hype about fans and critics calling Ketlen a championship winner she answered it with class.

“They say that about everybody and everybody can be champion. She is a very good fighter and she can be champion too.” Yana also is clear that she wants to take it one fight at a time and won’t look past her current bouts.

“I’m absolutely not looking over this fight and I’m hundred percent focused on Ketlen. And we will start thinking [about the rankings] next day after a fight”, Yana said. The UFC Fight Night 185 takes place on Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. ESPN+ is streaming the entire cards that night.
