Khamzat Chimaev is booked to fight the number 3 ranked fighter in welterweight Leon Edwards on 14th March, Fight Night: Edwards vs. Chimaev.

Chimaev flipped the MMA community upside down with his debut; he fought in two weight categories simultaneously cutting down the weight in less than 15 days, and he also won his third fight via the first-round knockout with just a single punch.

Leon Edwards is inactive for almost a year now and he’s been looking for a title shot ever since. Since both of them were not getting fights they decided to fight each other and fans are excited to see this fight.

This fight has been canceled twice. Khamzat and Edwards both pulled out of the fight due to the Covid-19. But now the fight is going to happen and Khamzat has started the “pre-fight banter”. He called Edwards out and said, “I want to smash him, brother. I want to destroy him. I want to take his head, and collect every head like this. I have nine right now, but soon I’ll have 10. Then we’ll continue collecting more.”

Khamzat Chimaev claimed he has never seen Edward fight before he said “I’ve never seen Edwards fight, I’ve only seen highlights of Usman beating him. Highlights on YouTube, something like that.

If Usman won like that, I’ll demolish him. He has no knockout power or anything special at all. I’ll dominate both him and Usman. Inshallah. Soon.”
