‘I want Zabit’ – ‘The Korean Zombie’ calls out Zabit Magomedsharipov

Chan Sung Jung ‘The Korean Zombie’ has called out fellow UFC featherweight Zabit Magomedsharipov saying that he would like to prove that he’s still capable of competing at the highest level.
The no.5 ranked UFC Featherweight, last took on Brian Ortega, against whom he went the full five rounds despite being dominated by the returning ‘T-City’. His loss to Brian Ortega hasn’t affected his ranking either, so he is indeed in the hunt for a shot at the title.
Speaking to MMAJunkie, ‘The Korean Zombie’ spoke of who he would like to face next, and it seemed pretty clear that he had only one opponent in mind – Zabit Magomedsharipov.
“The ball is in Zabit’s court” – Chan Sung Jung
Chan Sung Jung was quoted as saying, “This is a fight that would bring the fans to their feet. We are both entertainers and extremely competitive, so I think he’d like to step in the Octagon with me. A win for both of us would mean a lot for our careers, and it would be an amazing match. The ball is in Zabit’s court but I want this fight to kick off 2021,” TKZ said.
TKZ made it clear that he wanted to take on Zabit.“I want Zabit. That’s the fight that’s going to get me closest to a title shot. More than that, I want to once again try to prove myself against one of the hottest fighters in the division and prove that I’m still capable of competing at the highest level. Of course, I would understand if he doesn’t want to fight me,” ‘The Korean Zombie’ said.
Zabit Magomedsharipov is currently ranked no.3 in the featherweight rankings. The 29-year old Dagestani has just one loss in his entire professional MMA career and is currently undefeated in the UFC (6-0).
