‘I would have to say if I had to lean one way, I would go Khabib’ – Michael Chandler would take on Khabib Nurmagomedov rather than taking on Conor McGregor

Michael Chandler is just a day away from making his UFC debut against Dan Hooker in the co-main event of UFC 257. The Bellator legend will be looking forward to starting his UFC career with a bang, as a win against the number 6 ranked Hooker would put him right into the title mix.
Speaking about his future fight plans in an interview with TMZ Sports, Michael Chandler revealed that he would take on Khabib Nurmagomedov rather than fighting Conor McGregor. ‘Iron Mike’ also revealed why he picked the Russian instead of the Irishman. But, he also insisted that he would look into this, only if he wins his fight against Dan Hooker.
‘But of course they’re all getting talked about after I win my fight Saturday night‘ – Michael Chandler
Chandler was quoted as saying, “I would have to say if I had to lean one way, I would go Khabib. You gotta get that title shot. Those are not easy to come by here in the UFC, so I would definitely choose that, but of course they’re all getting talked about after I win my fight Saturday night.”
Khabib’s future in the UFC is still uncertain, although the Dagestani has always been a man of his word. It is also not known if he would walk away or if the UFC would strip him off his title, after a while. But, one thing is for sure! Michael Chandler is a man on a mission, and the explosive lightweight is surely a man to watch out for.
Can Michael Chandler recreate his illustrious career he had in the Bellator, in UFC as well?
