Former NBA Player Kendrick Perkins suggests he would trade Kyrie Irving for multiple season top-scorer James Harden, if he was the Brooklyn Nets. Whether or not Harden would start the upcoming season with the Houston Rockets or elsewhere. The most rumored team where Harden could go is the Brooklyn Nets. Given the recent incidents in the team and Harden’s actions with his Head Coach, Silas, it feels like the former does not want to be with the Rockets. 

Both the All-Star guards have seen their share of success in the NBA. On one hand, Kyrie Irving has a certain flair to his game and has already won an NBA Championship. Meanwhile, Harden has bagged a regular-season MVP, and his scoring prowess is unmatched. 

“I would want the best for Brooklyn Nets” Kendrick Perkins 

In an interview, Perkins supported his argument and said, “If I’m Brooklyn, and I’m looking to do what’s best for this Brooklyn team, and I’m looking to get better… Hell yeah, I’d trade Kyrie for James Harden in a heartbeat. I don’t even think about that.”

However, this trade can’t possibly happen without running it by Kevin Durant first since Durant and Irving share a close bond with each other. If the franchise were to take any rash decisions, it holds the risk of upsetting their superstar. 

But considering the fact that Durant and Harden have already played together back during their OKC days, this trade might actually work for both teams.  

Lastly talking about Harden, he is set up with veteran John Wall from Washington Wizards, who has come in a straight swap deal for Russell Westbrook. However, as everyone knows there is little time to make any movement. So, even if Harden wants his way out, he should be vocal and quicker about it. There is no doubt wherever Harden goes, he will blossom, given his scoring ability.
