The 22-year-old managed to win the WTA Finals and regain her spot as World No. 1 to end the season. She revealed to the United Cup Press that she learned a lot about herself during that time and gained a lot of confidence heading into 2024 after overcoming such baggage.
Honestly, I'm looking ahead to these tournaments that are going to happen here in Australia for me. I want to take it step by step. I feel more prepared for sure to deal with the pressure of being World No.1 this year than last year.Said Iga Swiatek to the United Cup Press.
Swiatek, who was World No. 1 last year, did not hold on to her spot, as she lost it a couple of times and fell prey to the pressure that comes with being on top. However, after a great finish, the Pole is sure about dealing with the pressure of No. 1 better and carrying the form forward.
