India at Tokyo Olympics: Schedule of Day 10, PV Sindhu set for bronze medal match, Men’s hockey team plays historic QF

The Indian contingent had a disappointing day nine at the Tokyo Summer Olympics where most of their athletes suffered defeats in their respective events. Coming to India’s schedule for August 1, the athletes will be seen competing in just five events including the all-important bronze medal match between shuttler PV Sindhu and He Bingjiao of China.
Other crucial matches involved the men’s super heavyweight quarter-final between Satish Kumar and Uzbekistan’s pugilist Bakhodir Jalolov. Indian men’s hockey team will also play their first knockout match at any Olympics edition after many years. The Manpreet Singh-led side will lock horns with Great Britain from 5:30 PM IST onwards.
