The series against Australia will be the first international challenge for the ‘Men in Blue’ amid coronavirus outbreak. Australia

Australian Cricket Team

The Australian team currently holds the fourth spot in the ICC ODI Rankings. The Aussies registered a great series victory last time they played One Day cricket earlier this year. However, most of their stars failed to put up a remarkable performance at the recently-concluded edition of Indian Premier League (IPL).

The likes of Glenn Maxwell, Aaron Finch, Pat Cummins and Steve Smith failed to impress at their respective franchises. But playing on their home ground will give them a slight advantage over Virat Kohli’s men.

The entire tour of Australia won’t be an easy affair for the ‘Men in Blue’ as they last played international cricket in March 2020 against New Zealand. Virat Kohli and co would also miss the services of limited-overs cricket vice-captain Rohit Sharma. The right-hander is currently recovering from a hamstring injury, picked while playing for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2020.

Moreover, skipper Virat Kohli had an ordinary IPL season for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the UAE. However, the Indian bowling attack is in prime form and will give a tough challenge to the kangaroo batsmen.
