After much deliberations and speculations around the third Test, India have landed in Sydney. The SCG will be hosting the third and crucial encounter of the ongoing Border Gavaskar series. Following a nightmare start to the series, India bounced strongly at the MCG to level the series. With the big guns of the tourists missing and that of Australia misfiring, the world is set for yet another engrossing clash of the titans.

Meanwhile, Ravichandran Ashwin took to Twitter to share the news of India landing in Sydney. The crafty offspinner goes on to add that the ride was on to forget as it was ‘turbulent and scary.’ Ashwin’s tweet read, “Yours Turbulently, Melbourne to Sydney! #ouch #scary.

Turbulent times for India Down Under

Rohit Sharma

After a memorable outing at the MCG and being reunited with their talisman Rohit Sharma, India have hit a rough patch in their tour Down Under. The incident of five Indian players- Rohit, Rishabh Pant, Shubman Gill, Prithvi Shaw and Navdeep Saini eating a meal in the indoor stadium as shown in the viral video has invited a lot of trouble. The video invited speculations of an alleged bio bubble breach and reports of an investigation into the matter also surfaced.

None the less, the situation seems to be better now after the entire Indian squad returned negative in their latest COVID Test. The aforementioned players have been released from isolation and travelled with the rest of team. Following the incident, the tourists faced harsh criticism on social media. But fortunately they have shut all the noise out and are all set to retain the prestigious trophy with a win in Sydney.

The boys have shut the outside world and they are not even looking at who is saying what. We are backing our belief that no protocol was broken and that is that, we are now looking at the third Test and the focus is on the next game at the SCG. We want to make it 2-1 by the time we leave the SCG at the end of the Test match,” a source told ANI.
