The limited-overs series between India and Australia ended in a draw where the home team clinched the ODIs. On the other hand, Virat Kohli and co won the T20Is 2-1. The tour has finally come to the much-awaited Test matches where the two sides will lock horns from December 17 onwards.

Both the sides have several doubts in their minds before they take the field at the Adelaide Oval. The first match would be a Day/Night Test played with the pink ball.

Last time India toured Australia in 2018, the visiting side registered an unprecedented 2-1 series win over Tim Paine’s men. But the Australian looks to have added a lot more depth to their batting unit this time with the comeback of Steve Smith and David Warner. Moreover, they found a dependable youngster in the form of Marnus Labuschagne at number three in the longer format.

On the other hand, Indian skipper Virat Kohli will fly back home after the first Test. Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma are expecting the birth of their first child. Moreover, opening batsman, Rohit Sharma will join the side from the third match onwards. All this makes the series even more anticipating to see how they perform in the absence of two of their most crucial batsmen.
