India’s right-arm ace pacer Mohammed Siraj has garnered regular attention since he debuted in the second Test match at the MCG during the ongoing Border-Gavaskar trophy series. In the three-Test matches he played against Australia, he gathered 13 wickets in total.
On Day 5 of the fourth Test match at the Gabba, Siraj achieved what is usually a dream for any bowler. He notched a maiden 5-wicket haul in Australia’s second innings. In his bowling, he scalped a wicket in the first innings and took five wickets in the second innings.
Siraj was given a standing ovation
The 26-year-old was appreciated by the coaches and other mates when he returned to the pavilion after Australia’s second innings.
Siraj received a maiden call for the Indian squad following his IPL spectacular performance. He debuted in the second Test match against Australia at the MCG, where he was taken as a replacement to the injured Mohammed Shami.
