India vs England 2021: ‘The feeling is surreal,’ Surya Kumar Tweets after getting a maiden call from Indian Team

The thirst of the prolific batsman- Suryakumar Yadav was finally quenched on Saturday as his name surfaced when Team India announced its 19-member squad for the upcoming T20I series against England.

The batsman from Maharashtra had long been waiting for a chance to feature for the Indian Team.

Suryakumar gave vent to his happiness via his Twitter account

After getting a dream come true for having received the maiden call from the Indian Team, Yadav Tweeted a picture of his sitting on DY Patel stadium’s pitch. The post captioned ‘The feeling is surreal’ followed by the Indian flag, amulet and a heart.

BCCI announced a 19-man squad for the upcoming 5-match T20I series against England, starting next month from March 12. Apart from Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan and Rahul Tewatia also earned maiden call ups for the upcoming T20I series against the three lions. Motera Stadium is the venue for all five matches of the T20I series.

In the 13th edition cash-rich league, IPL 2020, Suryakumar amassed 480 runs in 15 innings while Ishan Kishan was the top run-scorer among uncapped players with 516 runs in just 13 innings. Rajasthan Royals stalwart Rahul Tewatia, the magnificent allrounder, aggregated 255 runs and scalped ten wickets through his deceptive leg-spin.
