BCCI IPL
Ever since the BCCI had officially stated the 13th edition of the IPL will be hosted in the United Arab Emirates. After the in-principle permission was received by the Indian Board, IPL Chairman, Brijesh Patel has confirmed that BCCI has got the government’s clearance to move IPL 2020 to UAE.
As all paperwork is dealt with, all eyes have now shifted towards the 19th of September. As UAE seemed to be a wise choice to host the mega tournament, especially because of the stable condition of the number of COVID affected people. The BCCI was adamant of staging the IPL’s 13th edition as if that wouldn’t have happened, the same board would suffer a loss of ₹4,000 Cr. This is not the first time UAE is hosting the IPL as back in 2014, the first 20 matches of the league were played in UAE due to General Elections in India.
