Indian Star, Sumit Nagal all set to play French Open, targets top 100 ranking

Sumit Nagal became the first Indian in seven years to reach second round of US Open. The Jhajjar born star lost to winner of US Open, Dominic Thiem, in round 2 at the Flushing Meadows.
Now he is gearing up for the clay season and will play the qualifiers at French Open. Nagal will try his best to enter the main draws.
Sumit Nagal wants to enter top 100 ranking
Nagal says that his recent exposure of the American slam, has been great, yet he wishes to level up. The young star from India declared that he learnt a lot about on-court attitude. He learnt about focus and consistency, keys for a successful player.
“I want to take it up to the next level,” Nagal told Republic TV. He also aims to reach the top 100 rankings before the end of 2020. The youngster will be playing at the French Open qualifiers.
“How to control emotions, strategy, and discipline. Apart from this, going out there and giving it everything. How to go out there and give everything with a clear focus and repeat the process,” said Nagal when asked about his key takeaways from the US Open 2020.
