Tyreek Hill, who reportedly underwent an anger management course, found himself in the middle of another lawsuit when a social media influencer alleged that the NFL star broke her leg during a football drill earlier in February. It appears the woman is now demanding an immediate jury trial.
The influencer Sophie Hall filed the lawsuit in February in Broward County Circuit Court. The matter remained in the legal process when her attorney requested the court to conduct an immediate jury trial for 7 to 10 days to disclose the matter altogether and to provide Hall with the remedy she sought, as reported by Andy Slater of Fox Sports 640.
Hall alleged in her suit that the Miami Dolphins’ star “forcefully and purposefully” pushed her on the ground during a football drill at his mansion in South Florida. She claimed Hill did it because of the humiliation he had to endure when she knocked him backward in a “friendly” football lesson.
She had to undergo surgery with metal hardware implantation on her right leg, which was initially fractured following the injury as per the lawsuit. Hall has filed charges of battery, assault, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and negligence while seeking $75,000 worth of damages.
Tyreek Hill’s lawyer calls lawsuit against him baseless
Against Hall’s allegations, Hill’s attorney had dismissed the allegation by calling it ‘baseless’ and claimed this lawsuit was a means of covering the medical bills from the receiver. Previously in March, the Miami Dolphins General Manager was asked to comment on the lawsuit, but he refused to say anything acknowledging that the franchise is aware of the ongoing matter in court.
We were in communication with NFL security, so I really can't comment on anything of that until we get all our information and find out what happened. For us, Tyreek has been a good addition for us, but in terms of all the off-field stuff, we'll have to get all the information before we can really comment on it.GM Chris Grier said in March
According to the court documents, it was the receiver who connected with the influencer via Instagram after her son enrolled in Hill’s summer football camp in Boca Raton, Florida. He invited her to come and meet him to know each other better and even offered to host her at his house for a few days.
