Top two sides of the Indian Premier League 2020, Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals go head to head to in the final game of the league tonight. While Mumbai are a seasoned side having played five finals already, it will be a first time affair for the Capitals. And renowned commentator Harsha Bhogle picked the experienced customers as favourite to lift their fifth title tonight.

“On form, in the way they got to the final, in the manner in which they played, take your pick, Mumbai start favourites to win the title for the 5th time. But, and there is always one isn’t there, a knockout game is a completely different animal, especially if it is the title at stake,” Bhogle wrote in his column for TOI.

Delhi are a transformed side

We got to see a rejuvenated DC in the second qualifiers as they overpowered Sunrisers Hyderabad by 17 runs. They tinkered with their combination in the must-win clash and it paid off handsomely for the young side. Bhogle opines that if Shreyas Iyer and Co. play with the same freedom as the second qualifier, they might be able to lift their maiden IPL title.

“In their last qualifier against Hyderabad, Delhi were a transformed side. They took some hard decisions and the batting order looked so much the better for it. I loved the freedom and the aggression with which they played, so removed from the tentative side they sometimes presented. The wicket in Abu Dhabi was perfect too and I still think they have a really well-rounded bowling side. If they approach the final with the same freedom with which they played on Sunday, the dream may not be impossible,” Bhogle added.

It is going to be a mouth-watering with key players from both sides in great form. For the Capitals, their trump cards Shikhar Dhawan, Marcus Stoinis, Shimron Hetmyer and Kagiso Rabada are coming off a great game against SRH. On the other hand, MI are the most consistent side of the league but Trent Boult‘s injury might cause some trouble for the defending champions.
