Wriddhiman Saha was allowed to play in IPL 2020 in place of Jonny Bairstow. He did not disappoint and made a quickfire 87 runs. He completed his half-century in just 27 deliveries smashing 12 fours and 2 sixes in the process. This is the second innings for Wriddhiman Saha in IPL 2020 after 11 games of Sunrisers Hyderabad in the tournament.
Saha along with David Warner added 107 runs to the first wicket partnership after being allowed to bat first by Delhi Capitals. Warner also played an aggressive knock of 66 runs in 34 balls. Both the openers had a strike rate of around 200 and also registered the best powerplay score in IPL 2020 with 77 runs. With the help of the opening partnership, Sunrisers Hyderabad crossed the 200 run mark in the 18th over itself. SRH went on to post 219/2 in their 20 overs.
Delhi Capitals will have a tough task of chasing 220 runs in order to win the game and qualify for the playoffs of the tournament.
