Mumbai Indians wicket-keeper batsman Quinton de Kock opened up on his teammate’s Suryakumar Yadav‘s shot selection after their victory against Delhi Capitals. The South African also revealed that Yadav’s intent at the other end kept him relaxed during the match.

“To be honest, I don’t think I am brave enough to play any of them. But if I can reverse lap Jofra Archer, I wish I could do that. That’s about it. We are a team that keeps it simple,” Quinton de Kock told IPL20.com.

“When Surya came in, we just naturally assessed what we were dealing with out there. Did help that when he walked out there, he had the intent. He was off to a flier with boundaries and rotated the strike. It helped me at my end too and helped me relax. We just naturally batted well together and toughed it out really well,” Quinton de Kock concluded.

MI skipper Rohit Sharma showered praises on his teammates after a 5-wicket victory against the Shreyas Iyer-led Delhi Capitals. The Mumbai-based franchise comfortably chased down 163 in the ultimate over of the match. With this win, Mumbai Indians displaced DC to occupy the top spot at the Points Table.

“Means a lot. The kind of cricket we are playing gives us confidence going forward. Really pleased how we have played in the first half of the tournament. Perfect day for us. We did everything right today. We bowled well, then clinical with the bat,” said Rohit during the post-match presentation ceremony when asked to share his thoughts on the comprehensive victory.

Mumbai Indians will now serve a four-day rest before they lock horns against another strong side of the tournament, Kolkata Knight Riders. The match will be played at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi on October 16 (Friday).
