Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) pacer T Natarajan picked up the wicket of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni in yesteday’s Indian Premier League match between the two sides. Bowling in his fourth over, the left-arm bowler was hit for a huge 102 m six by the CSK captain. However, Natarajan got his revenge when he dismissed Dhoni off the last ball of his over when Dhoni skied a low full toss to short cover. Dhoni was looking dangerous prior to his wicket.

Despite the wicket and Kane Williamson‘s efforts with the bat, SRH couldn’t chase down CSK’s total of 167 that was fashioned courtesy of brisk knocks from Sam Curran, Ambati Rayudu, Shane Watson and Ravindra Jadeja. Despite Williamson’s fifty, SRH ultimately fell short by 20 runs.

‘Great moment for you’ Ashwin to Natarajan

Immediately after Natarajan picked up the wicket of MS Dhoni, Delhi Capitals spinner Ravichandran Ashwin took to Twitter to congratulate Natarajan. He said, “Well done da Natarajan. Great moment for you”.

The reason for his wish is because of a conversation Ashwin had had with Natarajan just two days prior to the match. In the conversation that is now available on Ashwin’s YouTube channel, Ashwin asked Natarajan picking whose wicket he would consider an achievement. Natarajan replied, “Dhoni”. In a matter of two days, his dreams came true when he dismissed the CSK skipper. This was why Ashwin congratulated Natarajan immediately after Dhoni got out.
