Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Eliminator to make their way to the Qualifier-2 where they’ll face Delhi Capitals (DC).

Earlier, SRH won the toss and chose to field first. RCB who had made a lot of changes to their line-up decided to open with Virat Kohli. The RCB skipper didn’t last long however, as he lost his wicket to Jason Holder. Holder was brilliant as he picked up three wickets including those of Devdutt Padikkal and Shivam Dube. AB de Villiers was the only RCB batter that offered resistance. However, he was cleaned up by a T Natarajan yorker that proved to be a crucial point in the match. In the end, RCB could only manage 131.

In the chase, SRH got off to a bad start as they lost openers David Warner and Sreevats Goswami early. Manish Pandey and Priyam Garg fell as well as the RCB spinners applied the breaks. However, Kane Williamson and Jason Holder were involved in an assured partnership to take their side home in the last over.
