Delhi Capitals (DC) injury troubles continue with Rishabh Pant is the latest addition to the injury list. Pant missed the last game versus Mumbai Indians in IPL 2020 and was reported with a hamstring pull.
It is now being reported that the injury is much more severe than a hamstring pull. Pant has suffered from Grade- 1 tear and is likely to miss more than two games for the Delhi Capitals.
A DC team official on the condition of anonymity told ANI, “He has a Grade 1 tear and it is not just a hamstring pull as was believed to be. He is under observation and we are hoping he gets fit quickly. “
After the match with Mumbai Indians, DC skipper Shreyas Iyer had suggested that he wasn’t sure about Pant’s injury and he needed to rest at least for a week. Pant was seen limping in the game against Rajasthan Royals when he took the catch of Varun Aaron to defeat RR by 46 runs. The injury happened when Pant tried to stop a quick single towards mid-wicket earlier in the innings.
