Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper Rohit Sharma on Wednesday has added a new title to his achievement bucket as he became the second Indian batsman in Indian Premier League (IPL) history to slam 200 sixes. The Hit-Man achieved the ingenious success during the 5th match between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium.

Rohit was flawless with the bat as he played some cracking shots all around the stadium. He hit KKR’s most expensive buy in the auction last year — Pat Cummins with two sixes in the very first over. His onslaught continued with Andre Russell and Kuldeep Yadav, who were taken to the cleaners with ease.

The 33-year-old scored his half-century off 39 balls in the 12th over before smashing two sixes (bowled by Kuldeep Yadav) to reach the feat of 200 sixes.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni was the first Indian to slam 200 sixes with Rohit following suit. Rohit is the fourth batsman, overall, to slam 200 sixes followed by Chris Gayle, Dhoni and AB de Villiers.
