Delhi Capitals registered an emphatic victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad in qualifier two to set a clash with Mumbai Indians in the finals. The DC players produced an all-round performance to eliminate SRH from the tournament. Ace speedster Kagiso Rabada emerged as the pick of the bowlers for Delhi with his terrific spell of 4-0-29-4.

With four wickets in this game, Rabada once again surpassed Jasprit Bumrah to occupy the pole position in the list of ‘Most Wickets in IPL 2020’.

“Today was just my day, I don’t think I bowled particularly well in the last over. But there are times when you bowl well and don’t have the rewards to show for it, so I’ll take it. But that is secondary, the primary is winning the tournament. If we win the tournament and I don’t take any wickets… I don’t mind that at all, Kagiso Rabada said during the post-match presentation ceremony.

“Playing such long tournament fatigue mentally and physically can kick in, but I am glad that we could get over the line today. We have to be as good or better in the final,” he added.

‘Hopeful to make history against MI in finals’

Kagiso Rabada reached 29 wickets in IPL 2020

Kagiso Rabada admitted that David Warner is a great player, and they needed to get him out early. The South African also said that DC is a young team, and excited to face the challenge against Mumbai Indians in the final match of IPL 2020.

“Warner came quite hard in the previous game we played against them, so wanted to get one back at him. He is a fantastic player. There was a bit of swing and so wanted to go full and straight, and it paid off. He was a key player,” Rabada stated.

“Delhi has never reached the final since the IPL has begun, so we are glad to take the team to this height, and now it’s all about sealing it off. We have two days to regenerate, get some rest and hopefully make history. Mumbai is a good side. We are a young team, have a lot of talent, and the guys are gearing up to do their best,” the 25-year old concluded.
