IPL 2020: Twitter reacts as Mumbai Indians clinch 5th IPL title by beating Delhi Capitals in the final

Mumbai Indians (MI) put on a clinical show in the Indian Premier League final to beat Delhi Capitals (DC) and win their fifth IPL title. MI are the only team to win five titles with no team having won more than 3.

Earlier, DC had won the toss and chosen to bat first. However, they got off to a horror start as off the very first ball, the in-form Marcus Stoinis was dismissed by Trent Boult. Very soon, Ajinkya Rahane met the same fate as well. With Shikhar Dhawan also losing his wicket, DC seemed to be in danger of being blown away for a low score. However, Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant struck well-made fifties to get their team’s score to a competitive 156.

In the second innings, MI came out all guns blazing as Quinton de Kock and Rohit Sharma got MI off to an explosive start. After de Kock got out to Stoinis, Rohit joined hands with Suryakumar Yadav and the two seemed to be taking MI to an easy win. But Yadav got run-out after a horrible mix-up with Rohit. But Rohit continued batting well and got to a fifty and along with Ishan Kishan led his side to the IPL title.

Twitter flooded with praise for MI

Following the conclusion of the final, Twitter was flooded with reactions on the same. Here are a few such reactions:
