IPL 2020: Twitter reacts to Kolkata Knight Riders’ crushing win over Rajasthan Royals

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) came good as a unit when it mattered as they thrashed Rajasthan Royals (RR) to take a potentially important step towards qualification to the playoffs.

Earlier, RR had won the toss and chosen to bowl first. KKR lost Nitish Rana for a golden duck but Shubman Gill and Rahul Tripathi steadied the shop for a while. Following their departure, Dinesh Karthik and Andre Russell perished as well though the latter looked really dangerous during his stay. It was then left to Eoin Morgan to come good for KKR. The Englishman didn’t disappoint as he scored a superb 68 to take KKR to 191.

In the chase, RR came out firing but lost wicket after wicket as Pat Cummins shone with 4 wickets. None of the RR batters with the exception of Jos Buttler and Rahul Tewatia were able to offer resistance. In the end, RR fell by 60 runs and ended up at the last spot on the points table.
