IPL 2020: Twitter reacts to Mayank Agarwal’s match-changing save on the boundary line

The Indian Premier League witnessed an outstanding spectacle as Mumbai Indians (MI) and Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) played out a match for the ages. Both teams matched each other run by run, wicket by wicket as it took not one but two Super Overs to separate them.

Batting first, MI scored 176/6 courtesy a fifty by Quinton de Kock and pyrotechnics from Kieron Pollard. Chasing, KL Rahul played a gem of an innings but the game ended in a tie as the former got out. In the Super Over, Jasprit Bumrah delivered for MI and restricted KXIP to just 5 runs. But Mohammad Shami matched him with his equally incredible over to tie the Super Over.

In the second Super Over, the score was on 9/1 on the fifth ball when Pollard hit one to deep-midwicket in what looked to be heading for a six. But Mayank Agarwal pulled off a ridiculous save to keep the ball in play and save four games for his side. He then went on and hit two fours in the second innings along with Chris Gayle who hit a six to win the game for his side.
