IPL 2020: Twitter reacts to Unadkat’s expensive game-changing over

AB de Villiers pulled off an improbable run-chase for Royal Challengers Bangalore in their Indian Premier League match against Rajasthan Royals. Following a lot of questions being raised about the South African’s batting order, de Villiers came in to bat at his preferred No. 4 position with the required run-rate well over 10. In the end he took his side home with two balls to spare.

Earlier, RR won the toss and chose to bat first. They got to a competitive score of 177 thanks to fluent knocks from Robin Uthappa and Steve Smith. In the chase, RCB couldn’t quite get going despite Devdutt Padikkal and Virat Kohli’s partnership. After the duo got out, de Villiers was left with a big job to do.

The Proteas batsman showed that he was up for it with a brutal assault as he reached 55 off 22 balls to take his side home. The 19th over bowled by Jaydev Unadkat was taken for 25 runs including three consecutive sixes.
