The change in leadership didn’t work as expected for Kolkata Knight Riders as Mumbai Indians registered an easy 8 wicket win. Put in to bat first, KKR managed just 148 from their quota of 20 overs having lost 5 wickets in first 11 overs. And it was a scintillating catch from SuryaKumar Yadav that triggered this collapse. Yadav took a blinder at point to dismiss Rahul Tripathi.
The incident happened during the 3rd over of KKR’s innings by Trent Boult. It was not the best of balls, short and wide, and Tripathy pounced at it slashing hard. But little did he know what Yadav at point was planning. The Mumbai batter threw himself to his left and held on to, what one might call, a bullet. The catch left everyone awe including Tripathi himself who couldn’t help but grin as he took off.
