On Monday (September 28) one more thrilling game was played between defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Although, MI failed to get over the line despite courageous efforts from Kieron Pollard and Ishan Kishan.

Chasing a target of 202, Mumbai lost wickets upfront. They were looking down the barrel at 78 for four in 11.2 overs. But Kishan and Pollard had 119 runs stand for the fifth wicket off 51 balls and took the game into the Super Over.

Pollard had scored 60 runs off 24 balls with three fours and five sixes and on the other hand, Kishan was also hitting boundaries. The young batsman scored 99 runs off 58 balls with two fours and nine sixes. However, he got out to pacer Isuru Udana when MI needed five runs to win.

But what surprised more about Kishan, he didn’t come out to bat in Super Over. It was Pollard and Hardik Pandya and the duo only managed seven runs off Navdeep Saini. Subsequently, former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh also stated that Kishan should have batted in the Super Over as he was in threatening form with Pollard.

He took to Twitter and wrote, “I think Kieron Pollard and Ishan Kishan should have come to bat in the super over! They were set bodies were warm! I think RCB will just get out of jail here? What say IPL2020 cause RCB has Mr 360 AB de Villiers.”

Mumbai Indians scored only seven runs in Super Over but didn’t give up as Jasprit Bumrah bowled the Super Over and the RCB won on the last bowl. The efforts by Bumrah wasn’t enough for MI to help them winning two points for the match.
