IPL 2021: RCB vs KKR – Match 10, How can Royal Challengers Bangalore keep up their winning run with a win over Kolkata Knight Riders

RCB
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are on a roll in the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the moment. They have won their first two matches and the confidence in the camp seems sky high. The addition of Glenn Maxwell at the auction seems to have worked wonders as the Aussie all-rounder has delivered in both wins while the likes of Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers have come up with useful contributions.
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have the current Orange Cap holder in their ranks in Nitish Rana. But, apart from the opener, the other batsmen haven’t been up to the mark. The almighty choke in the match against Mumbai Indians (MI) would linger in the minds of KKR and they would want to get over it with a win tonight. However, it won’t be easy against a marauding RCB.
On that note, we take a look at how RCB can beat KKR today.
IPL 2021: RCB vs KKR – Key for RCB #1: Decide on the top three spots in the batting order

Virat Kohli and Glenn Maxwell have been doing extremely well for their side in the opening slot and the No. 4 slot respectively. With Devdutt Padikkal back as well after recovering from COVID-19, him taking the other opening slot is a no-brainer. However, the question arises as to who should bat at No. 3.
In the first match, RCB went with Rajat Patidar but he wasn’t able to deliver before being dropped. In the second match, they went for Shahbaz Ahmed who also didn’t contribute much. RCB would thus, want to get a permanent solution as to who should occupy that slot for the rest of the tournament. The best way to do it would be to decide on it for the match today and the No. 3 batsman could be key in influencing the outcome of the match.
IPL 2021: RCB vs KKR – Key for RCB #2: Keep making brave on-field decisions

The decision to hand an over late in the second innings to spinner Shahbaz Ahmed worked wonders for RCB in their game against SRH, with the all-rounder picking up as many as three wickets. Such brave decisions on the field is the hallmark of any successful team and Mumbai Indians (MI) have epitomized that in the recent past.
Hence, RCB must continue to make these brave calls during the match against KKR today as well. With clever field placements and captaincy like Virat Kohli has shown so far, RCB can go a long way in the tournament while also winning matches like the one today.
