IPL 2021: Rajasthan Royals’ Twitter handle responds hilariously to fan who asked them to trade Ben Stokes to Mumbai Indians
Ben Stokes
With the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) set to go ahead as scheduled in April and May and franchises already having named their list of retained and released players, the trading window is currently open till February 4. In this period, franchises can do trade deals either for cash or for another player. Three all-cash deals have taken place already with Daniel Sams and Harshal Patel going to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) from Delhi Capitals (DC) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) acquiring Robin Uthappa from Rajasthan Royals (RR).
RR are the team who are bound to undergo a plethora of changes as they have released their skipper Steve Smith much to everybody’s surprise. The side finished with the wooden spoon last season and would want to prove a point in the 2021 edition under Sanju Samson by getting their hands on the coveted trophy for the first time since the inaugural edition in 2008 which they won.
The Twitter handle of the Rajasthan Royals is known to be very active on social media with their witty replies to fans and comments. In a similar vein, they replied to a fan who asked them to trade their ace English all-rounder Ben Stokes to defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI).
RR responded with a hilarious gif to inform that they wouldn’t do so. The tweet has since then gone viral on social media with fans praising the admin of the handle for his continued dose of hilarious replies.
