IPL 2021: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) Team Profile Overview, Stats, Auctions Analysis, Season-Wise Performance, Full Schedule and Squad

Royal Challengers Bangalore

Despite having some of the biggest names in the game, Royal Challengers Bangalore are yet to lift their maiden Indian Premier League title. The side has been one of the most inconsistent in the league. After three long disappointing seasons, they were finally able to qualify for the playoffs last season. But the story remained the same as their inconsistency cost them yet another golden chance.
They have reached the finals on three occasions. But that too is a thing of past. As has been the story throughout the league, RCB yet again roped in some big names in the auction. It will be interesting to see how the move pays off as they search for their maiden IPL trophy.
Royal Challengers Bangalore: Team Overview

Strengths
There is no denying that RCB’s batting has been their biggest strength over the years. However, it majorly revolves around Virat Kohli and AB De Villiers. The duo holds the responsibility for making the majority of runs. So to cut down on the burden of the star duo, RCB has roped in the services of Glenn Maxwell and Mohammed Azharuddeen. The inclusion of Kyle Jamieson and Dan Christian along with the rise of Devdutt Paddikal has only bolstered their batting.
Weaknesses
It is no secret that RCB’s biggest weakness over the last few years has been their death bowling. The likes of Umesh Yadav and Mohammad Siraj leaked a plethora of runs at the death in 2019. The story was the same last season too. While RCB has added reinforcements in Jamieson, Christian and Daniel Sams, a huge void still looms. If one of the quicks doesn’t step up to take the responsibility, the story would be the same for RCB as it has been over the years.
