The Indian Premier League (IPL) clash between the Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals finally witnessed a high scoring affair breaking the streak of low scoring thrillers in the second half. Batting first CSK put 189 on board, the highest total in the second leg of the IPL and RR chased it down with 15 balls to spare.

The table-toppers had their bowlers to blame for the loss as a stunning display of power hitting from youngsters Yashaswi Jaiswal and Shivam Dube powered the Royals to a stunning win. The 17th over of the enthralling run-chase saw Sam Curran bowl outrageous no-ball. As the ball slipped off Curran’s hand, Glenn Philips took off chasing the ball in an attempt to make the most of the opportunity. Phillips, who was yet to open his account, saw the slip, which was called a no-ball as it landed outside the pitch, as a great opportunity to get off the mark.

Phillips’ attempt bemused one and all on the field as everyone was taken aback by it. Keeping the accidental no-ball apart, Sam Curran continues to struggle as he yet again conceded over 50 runs in an innings, the second time in a row. The Englishman has a long way to go if he is to feature in the upcoming T20 World Cup in the England side.
