The match between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) saw a whirlwind knock from Prithvi Shaw that completely flattened the opposition. After putting KKR in to bat, the DC bowlers came to the fore as they bowled tight lines and lengths to restrict them throughout the opening and middle overs. It was a late surge from Andre Russell that helped the side past 150.
In the chase, it was the Prithvi Shaw show as he took on the bowling and gave them no chances with an innings of the highest quality. Laced with eye-pleasing strokes, the young opener proved his worth to the world, showing yet again as to why he is so highly rated. Engaging in an excellent opening partnership with Shikhar Dhawan, the openers ensured that the game was all but done.

During the 12th over of Delhi Capitals’ innings, the Rishabh Pant-led side were cruising thanks to their openers. This was when a wide ball was sent upstairs for a stumping appeal against Dhawan. The bowler was Varun Chakravarthy and Dinesh Karthik from behind the stumps thought Dhawan had lifted his legs up in the air. However, Dhawan argued his case in a friendly manner to the keeper.
With Karthik then speaking more, Dhawan comically fell down on the ground in a hilarious action with Karthik doing a similar action to tell him to get up as well. This hilarious moment was shown on the replays and it had the commentators in splits. Social media was also filled with appreciation on the piece of banter between the two Indian players.
