IPL 2021: Who’s going to win today’s match? – DC vs MI, Match 13

The fourth round of fixtures begins today with Delhi Capitals (DC) facing Mumbai Indians (MI) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. It is noteworthy that this is the first shift in venue for a team with DC moving from Mumbai to Chennai. The encounter is a rematch of last year’s final and DC would want to exact revenge by notching up their third victory of the season today.

MI are on a two-match winning run following their last-ball loss in their first match against Royal Challengers Bangalore. DC on the other hand, won their first match against Chennai Super Kings, lost a last-over thriller to Rajasthan Royals before roaring back to clinch victory over Punjab Kings. All eyes will be on how well they perform today against the defending champions.

On that note, we take a look at who we think will win today’s match.

Who will win today’s match: DC vs MI

Mumbai Indians seem to have mastered the conditions in Chennai and have been going about defending totals in excellent fashion. Rahul Chahar has looked in sublime touch while Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult are delivering match after match. Although their batting doesn’t seem to have clicked yet, their excellent performances regardless have made it clear that they will only get better when the batting does click.

DC will have their task cut out. They faced MI four times last season and lost all four. A fifth will be on the cards if they don’t come up with a vastly improved bowling performances. The likes of Kagiso Rabada must step up with the ball while Shikhar Dhawan must continue his good form. If not, MI will be too strong for them and will notch up their third consecutive win of the season.

Prediction: MI to win
