Hardik Pandya and MS Dhoni with IPL 2023 Trophy
The sixteenth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is just one game away before it gets concluded. The summit clash of the IPL 2023 was scheduled to take place on 28 May at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad but rain played a spoilsport and the game had to be deferred to the reserve day. Nevertheless, it is expected to be a cracker of a game with defending champions Gujarat Titans (GT) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) going against each other.
The winner of IPL 2023 will get a big sum of prize money along with the elusive trophy. Not just the winners and the runners-up but the two other teams which qualified for the IPL 2023 playoffs will also get cash rewards.
The prize pool in IPL has increased massively over the years. While the winners were awarded INR 4.8 crore in the first two editions with the runners-up getting INR 2.4 crore, Gujarat Titans were awarded with INR 20 crore after they won IPL 2022. Rajasthan Royals, meanwhile, received INR 13 crore. Will it be the same this year? Let’s find out.
