“Iron” Michael Chandler is not happy with Khabib’s comments, vows to prove him wrong

Michael Chandler is not happy with the recent comments made by Khabib Nurmagomedov, wherein Khabib stated that he wouldn’t even have the need to use his wrestling skills, if he fights Chandler. Khabib also added that Chandler isn’t that good a fighter as he had lost a few in Bellator as well. The comments didn’t sit well with “IRON” Mike, who is currently in Abu Dhabi as he is the backup fighter for the Khabib vs Gaethje fight.

Michael Chandler recently switched to the UFC, after dominating in his previous organization, Bellator. He is considered by many as the face of Bellator, causing the organization to grow in popularity, just like Conor McGregor made UFC famous. The 21-5 fighter took to twitter recently, to express his displeasure over Khabib’s recent comments about him.

“See you soon” – Chandler to Khabib

“Can’t wait to prove you wrong @teamkhabib… see you soon”, Michael Chandler tweeted in response to Khabib’s comments. Chandler made his intentions very clear – that he means business, as soon as he stepped into the UFC, when he called out both Dustin Poirier and Tony Ferguson. However, a deal was not struck and now Poirier will be facing Conor McGregor, although Tony Ferguson is still hunting for an opponent.

Those who have followed Bellator MMA would know, how good a fighter Michael Chandler is. He is not a fighter who can be taken lightly. Although, Khabib might be the greatest lightweight of all time, he might be underestimating Michael Chandler, who himself has a good wrestling background.
