IShowSpeed met LeBron James and Novak Djokovic during Fanatics Fest in New York on July 17. The popular streamer encountered the NBA superstar and tennis legend backstage at the Jacob Javits Center before their live shows at the event. During the interaction, IShowSpeed brought a classic Cleveland Cavaliers jersey with him.
James then signed the jersey, creating a memorable moment for the streamer. A video of the interaction was shared on Instagram. The footage showed IShowSpeed meeting James while Djokovic watched from nearby. The Serbian tennis star smiled as James signed the jersey before later stepping in to greet the streamer.
The interaction brought together three prominent figures from sports and online entertainment. James is a four-time NBA champion and one of the most recognizable basketball players in the world. Meanwhile, Djokovic is a 24-time Grand Slam singles champion and one of the most successful tennis players in history. IShowSpeed has built a large global audience through his livestreams and online content, while also regularly showing his interest in sports.
The meeting took place during Fanatics Fest at the Jacob Javits Center in New York. The annual event brings together sports fans, athletes, entertainers and collectors. James and Djokovic were among the major sports figures present at the festival.
For IShowSpeed, the meeting with James was particularly notable because of his connection to the Cleveland Cavaliers. The streamer brought a Cavaliers jersey to the encounter, and James signing it became the central moment of the interaction.
Djokovic also became part of the moment when he approached IShowSpeed after watching the interaction between the streamer and James. The meeting allowed the streamer to connect with two athletes from different sports during the same appearance at the New York event.
IShowSpeed previously announced his ambition to compete at the 2028 Olympics
The meeting with LeBron James and Novak Djokovic also recalls IShowSpeed’s earlier interest in competing at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
In November 2024, IShowSpeed spoke about his Olympic ambitions while attending ComplexCon in Las Vegas. During the event, he said, “2028, I’ll be running in the Olympics for sure. I’m going to do 100 meters and 50 meters and maybe 200.”

He later acknowledged that the 50-meter dash is not an official Olympic event. IShowSpeed’s comments came after he participated in a sprinting challenge against American track and field star Noah Lyles. The streamer has frequently displayed his interest in sprinting and has taken part in athletic challenges during his public appearances and livestreams.
The 2028 Summer Olympics will be held in Los Angeles. IShowSpeed’s stated ambition to compete in the Games added another sports-related goal to his growing public profile.
His meeting with James and Djokovic at Fanatics Fest came nearly two years after he first discussed his plans to pursue Olympic competition. The interaction at the Jacob Javits Center gave him another high-profile moment with two of the biggest names in global sports.
