Islam Makhachev is ready for Dustin Poirier‘s deadliest move. The Dagestani champion publically declared in his latest interview that he is ready for Poirier’s guillotine choke. He also revealed exactly what he was going to do to the lightweight contender at UFC 302.

Islam Makhachev recently sat down for an interview with TMZ Sports. During the interview, Makhachev discussed his entire game plan for his upcoming fight against Poirier at UFC 302. 

People who can take him down, hold him there, always give him problem... Dustin, be ready, be ready, and wrestling a lot. I defend my neck, I'm ready for your guillotine. That's why it's not happening in our fight, but I will be ready.

Makhachev called Dustin a warrior and a legend. He pointed out that Poirier has more experience than everybody in the sport. However, according to Makhachev, his problem is his style. The only weak point that Makhachev believes ‘The Diamond’ has is his wrestling and grappling. The Dagestani champion believes it is going to be an easy fight and he can beat him easily.

Islam Makhachev said he is not underestimating Dustin Poirier. He acknowledged that Poirier has better striking than everybody in the division. Poirier ranks #4 in the UFC’s lightweight division. Meanwhile, Islam Makhachev currently reigns as the #1 pound-for-pound fighter in the UFC. It will be an interesting fight this June.

Ilia Topuria said there is no need to make Islam Makhachev an invincible superhero

Ilia Topuria believes the people are hyping up Islam Makhachev for no reason. The Spaniard recently became featherweight champion when he defeated Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 298. He recently made some interesting comments about Makhachev.

Ilia Topuria recently did an interview with KPSport. During his interview, he talked about the Dagestani champion. Topuria said that it was the people who came up with the idea in their heads that Islam is special. He said it was the people who made him the undefeated champion even though he was knocked out.

Topuria was referring to Makhachev’s 2015 fight against Adriano Martins at UFC 192. Martins knocked down Makhachev in the first round marking his only loss in his UFC career. Topuria said we are all human and there is no need to make Makhachev an invincible superhero.
