Israel Adesanya claims he will whoop Jon Jones, irrespective of the weight division
Israel Adesanya

The “Last Stylebender” Israel Adesanya has been going from strength to strength ever since he made his UFC debut. The Nigerian-born New Zealander completely dominated the middleweight division, most recently defeating Brazilian, Paulo Costa. And now, he is expected to face newly crowned light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz in a light heavyweight title bout, which will see Izzy move to uncharted territory. He also spoke of his ambitions of eventually facing Jon Jones and defeating him.

Speaking extensively of this Israel Adesanya believed that Jon Jones who is now gone to the heavyweight division, will move back down, if he (Adesanya) beats Jan Blachowicz.

“He’s been saying for the last 10 years he can beat any heavyweight” – Adesanya on Jon Jones

In an interview with TheMacLife, Adesanya spoke about Jon’s hateful behavior saying, “He is probably loathing and waiting until, I don’t know, I don’t check. He is loathing. It is rubbing him the wrong way, I know it is rubbing him the wrong way. Say something stupid, he knows I got clips, I’m ready for him.”

Izzy went on saying, “He still hasn’t got a fight matched up, has he? He’s what, taking time to get accustomed to heavyweight. He’s been saying for the last 10 years he can beat any heavyweight, blah, blah, blah.

Adesanya made his intentions clear that, ‘whatever happens he is fighting Jon Jones‘, “I’d say the first then the second. If I was waiting to defend the light heavyweight title, I’ll just go back to 185 and f**k people up there and then if he (Jones) wins the heavyweight belt, I’ll just jump up and take that off him. It would be cool. It’s like, oh you took my old toy now I want it back, then comes back down and I’ll slap him across the face.”

Who have you got, if the two face-off?
