Israel Adesanya had high expectations going to UFC Saudi Arabia’s main event against Nassourdine Imavov. The former UFC middleweight champion had plans to make a strong comeback after his first submission loss at UFC 305. However, things didn’t go as planned as the ‘Last Stylebender’ had to face another loss.
Going into the fight, Adesanya promised to bring out his vintage version, and he was doing well in the first round. However, thirty seconds into the second round, he got dropped and was finished by Imavov. After the loss many, fans started assuming his downfall. However, according to former UFC fighter Darren Till, this is highly disrespectful towards Adesanya.
In his rant, Till tried to comment on the ongoing toxicity in the MMA community where fighters are often targeted easily. He gave examples of himself and Colby Covington, who face criticism for their current form regardless of their achievements. Till explained that fighters such as Adesanya have achieved so much in their fighting career and should be celebrated.
