Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook duo were in action for the first time against Detroit Pistons in their pre-season encounter. From making Thomas Bryant play more ecstatically to scoring field goal, Westbrook had an impactful debut for his new franchise, Washington Wizards. As a result, his teammates along with Bradley Beal praised the player for his impressive performance. Having played only 17 minutes in the first half of the game, Westbrook was seen to be quick and running th show pretty well on the court. 

Having scored 8 points and 4 field goals out of 10 attempts, Westbrook was even more eye-catching on how well hr combined with his new teammates. He also registered 7 rebounds and 3 assists against his name in this particular game. “It was good,” Westbrook said of his first game as a Wizard. “We won, the most important part … I like where we were tonight. He added, “My job is to try to set the tone. Have them be ready to play.”

“It just felt great,” Beal said of playing with Westbrook as per ESPN. “It was great energy … I don’t think it will be tough as people are trying to make it out to be. We both do a really good job off of feeding off of each other, just adjusting to how each other plays.

“The most important thing is his pace and energy he brings to the table … it just works out well. We just continue to play off each other, feed off each other and push each other.” 

Talking about Beal and his performance, he missed all his 7 attempts from behind the arc. But he managed to score 7 field goal leading to 15 points in the game. The highlight for the Wizards was Thomas Bryant who barged in 22 points. Even coach Scott Brooks was seen celebrating the gameplay set between Westbrook and Bryant which led to the latter’s dunk. Brooks also was impressed by Westbrook’s ability and pace and complemented his debut performance.  

Givent hat, Westbrook continues his play making in such fashion, the Washington Wizards can really break their playoff jinx in the 2020-21 season.
