“It has nothing to do with football” AJ Hawk shoots down speculation of Aaron Rodgers playing for the Titans

Aaron Rodgers and AJ Hawk

Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers haven’t been on the best terms for a little while now. The real tipping point was the 2021 offseason where Rodgers stated he wanted out of Green Bay.

While of course, he did remain in Green Bay for the 2021 season they almost set a goal of nothing less than a Super Bowl ring for Rodgers to stay with the Packers. Anything less and it would be very likely that Aaron Rodgers would be moving on.

With the Packers’ 13-10 loss to the 49ers in the divisional round of this year’s playoffs, it’s all but certain now that Rodgers will be looking for a way out. Considering that, news of Rodgers buying property in Nashville breaking surface has the media on fire about him possibly playing for the Titans in 2022 and AJ Hawk recently weighed in.

Appearing on ‘The Pat McAfee Show’ AJ Hawk was asked about Aaron Rodgers and the news of him buying property in Nashville to which he said “There are other professional athletes who live in Nashville, there are nice areas in Nashville all over the place so if Aaron has raw land in Nashville without a house on it, how does that mean he’s going to the Titans.”

Hawk also added “If Aaron has any land down in Nashville, I don’t think he got the land with any intention of thinking about football. It has nothing to do with football.”

However, Hawk also said “That doesn’t mean it can’t, though. That doesn’t mean, say he goes down there, oh this cool I like Nashville. Hey Vrabes why don’t you call the Packers and work out a trade for me. That could happen.”

So, while AJ Hawk certainly thinks Aaron Rodgers buying property in Nashville doesn’t mean anything, he’s open to the possibility of him moving there. It’s worth noting when it comes to athletes and these situations, Tom Brady bought a house in Los Angeles and of course, ended up in Tampa Bay.

Aaron Rodgers is gonna be watched A LOT this offseason as he’s one of the premier quarterbacks in the league and he’s pretty much available. While it’s fine to dig into everything, there are some things that can be a bit of a stretch and this might be one of those.
