In his recent interview, Rafael Nadal’s former coach and uncle, Toni Nadal spoke to El Larguero and expressed his views on the Adria Tour conducted by Novak Djokovic along with updates about Rafael Nadal’s tour schedule.
While other players like Nick Kyrgios have been transparent about their emotions and criticized Novak Djokovic, Toni Nadal has supported Novak after the Adria Tour had disastrous effects. Participating players like Novak Djokovic, Borna Coric, and Grigor Dimitrov infected the COVID-19 post their participation in the tournament.

Toni Nadal said, “What happened on the Adria Tour will never happen again. What happened was unimaginable. I don’t want to be the devil’s advocate, but Djokovic only did what he did because he was authorized.”
Toni Nadal had earlier asserted his support for the Serbian when Novak faced backlash for conducting Adria Tour amidst pandemic.

Toni Nadal spoke about his nephew’s recent training schedule. He added that even though Rafa has withdrawn from the US Open he is still working extremely hard as a sportsman.
He supported Rafa’s decision to miss the US Open. Rafa now prepares for his favourite – Clay Season.
Nadal said, ”Now the tournaments of Rome and Paris (Roland Garros) are approaching. Rafa knows that he has to prepare very well if he wants to have great results.”
Toni Nadal’s recent interview has given the tennis fans the assurance that they will see the King of Clay competing for a record 13th French Open Championship.
