Angelique Kerber

Angelique Kerber, the former world no.1 and winner of 3 grand slams, unfortunately she is going through tough phase in her career. At the Italian Open, the German crashed out without winning a single round. Kerber was handed a defeat by Katarina Siniakova 3-6, 1-6.

The poor form of Kerber in 2020

In any of the 2 slams, she has been unable to move ahead of round 4. Kerber has struggled since last year and was ranked 21 when the rankings were frozen before the pandemic. The German surely has seen better days on court and she will try to work hard to have a better run on the French clay.

Kerber has never made it ahead of quarters at Roland Garros. At this time she needs to bring better tennis and earn more points. Kerber was seeded 15 at the Italian Open.
