Karolina Pliskova entered the tournament as a second seed and is now up against in the final against Simona Halep. Pliskova won comfortably in the match 6-2, 6-4 straight sets.

Karolina Pliskova was phenomenal in her semi-final against fellow Czech player Vondrousova. She won 88% points on her first serve in the opening set. Pliskova was the favourite in the match as she entered with a lead in the head to head (1-0) against the younger player. On the other hand, Vondrousova has been showcasing a terrific game at clay. She was the semi-finalist too at the French Open 2019.

The first set saw some great baseline rallies but Pliskova dominated with her winners. The compatriot showcased good service too, yet Pliskova had an upper hand due to the strong baseline rallies. she won the set 6-2 with all-round performance and consistent service. She did only one double fault while Vondrousova did 3.
