“It’s all in my head and I’m in control,” Erik ten Hag reveals motive behind Marcus Rashford’s signature celebration
The Dutch coach reveals the inner meaning of Rashford's celebration and how it affects him in matches
Erik ten Hag has recently commented on Marcus Rashford‘s celebration revealing that the player is expressing himself through it. Rashford has been one of the scoring sensations in the Premier League. The England international has been on banging form after an impressive 25 goals and providing six assists in 38 games in all competitions.
It is fair to say the player has redeemed himself after a dreadful campaign last season and the Dutch coach was full of praise for the Englishman’s performances. Erik ten Hag on Marcus Rashford’s celebration: “He is expressing himself well. Pointing to his head, he’s saying, ‘it’s all in my head and I’m in control.’”
The winger made Premier League history by picking up his third Premier League Player of the Month award of the season, a feat only Mohamed Salah had managed previously which shows his immense qualities and what all he can offer in future seasons.
Manchester United faces Southampton on Sunday evening and will hope to bag the three points to keep their hopes of a Champions League spot alive after a humiliating defeat to Liverpool. The club has revived under the former Ajax coach after winning their first major trophy in the Carabao Cup after a wait of six seasons and is now on course for more success in the future.

Harry Kane linked to Manchester United as The Red Devils make the Englishman top priority
Harry Kane has been identified as Manchester United’s primary striker option in the summer by club manager Erik ten Hag, according to reports. The 29-year-old’s future at Tottenham Hotspur remains uncertain, with the north London club going a 15th consecutive season without silverware. Kane is also approaching the final year of his contract at the club, meaning Spurs may be forced to cash in on a potential transfer of their talisman this summer.
Old Trafford is perhaps the most obvious destination for Kane next season, with Ten Hag reportedly keen on signing a high-profile striker in the summer, alongside the likely guarantee of Champions League football, something that Spurs cannot currently promise.
The Red Devils will receive a consistent striker if he is to join them with guaranteed goals and playmaking abilities. Their current striker Wout Weghorst has not been up to the mark though the Dutchman has received praise for his high work rates and pressing which currently lacks in the frontline.
