“It’s hard to not feel for Diego,” says Angela Hill as she defends Diego Sanchez’s efforts to stand up for himself

Angela Hill seems to have a soft side to recently released fighter Diego Sanchez. The strawweight contender is scheduled to fight at UFC Vegas 26, the card from which Sanchez was stripped off due to a clash with the promotion with his coach Joshua Fabia being the mouth of the whole protest.
Angela Hill claims to understand Sanchez’s viewpoint and his reaction. The fighter was part of the broadcasting team that was confronted by Diego’s coach Joshua for taking “Low Shots” at his fighter. Despite being at the receiving end of those confrontations Hill takes the veteran’s side in this drama over the company’s. Recently Angela made her appearance at UFC Vegas 26 media day where she voiced out her opinions on the controversy.

“It was my first time sitting in on fighter meetings, so I didn’t really feel like I should say anything,” Hill said about the incident. “But at that point, I think I had heard Fabia talk about himself so much and the criticism that he was getting that I had to say something,” she said talking to the reporters.
Angela Hill is taking on Amanda Ribas at UFC Vegas 26. Diego was initially supposed to fight Donald Cerrone, who also revealed his thoughts on the whole controversy and being cut off. Recently, Sanchez went on to talk about why he had to call it off and Hill completely understands his viewpoint.
“I think it was good that he did the interview,” says Angela Hill

“I watched Diego’s long interview with Anthony Smith last night, and he makes a lot of points that I think a lot of fighters agree with, but then he goes on his tangents — his conspiracy theory tangents as well,” Hill said. “It’s kind of hard to not feel for Diego and not understand his point of view. Everyone’s point of view comes from whatever experiences and circumstances they have, and to feel like your gym isn’t backing you compared to your other teammates.”
“To feel the UFC isn’t backing you compared to other people. I feel for him. I think it was good that he did that interview, because it gives more perspective as opposed to saying, ‘Oh he’s getting taken advantage of.’ This Fabia guy is the only one in his corner, so of course he’s going to defend him, so I understand,” Angela Hill defended Diego for not leaving Fabia’s side.
