I have a lot of respect for Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz and I still have to work hard to reach their level. Carlos has already won four Grand Slams and Jannik three. Both are still very consistent and I am not at their level yet. I still have to work hard, improve, and win a lot of matches and tournaments. I respect them, but, at the moment and to be honest, I am not at their level yet.

Four-time Grand Slam champion Alcaraz will be in action at the Miami Open which started on March 19. Sinner, on the other hand, is serving his doping ban and will play in a tournament only after May 4. Following his ban, it’s confirmed that the three-time Grand Slam champion will play the Hamburg Open, which will start on May 17, before the Roland Garros.

Obviously, I want to be a great player and I want to achieve amazing things in this sport but my main goal is to keep on improving and keep on knuckling down. I know there is a long way ahead of me. I’m very ambitious. I don’t want to just stop here. I want to keep on going.

Jack Draper told Sky Sports

Draper is the second-youngest player from Britain to grab a spot in the top 10 after three-time Grand Slam champion Andy Murray. He was assured of a spot in the top 10 after his win over Carlos Alcaraz but his victory in the final took him to the No.7 on the rankings table.

Draper has also become the fifth British man after Murray, Tim Henman, Greg Rusedski, and Norrie to win an ATP Masters 1000 event. He is now 13-2 on the season and before Indian Wells, he participated in the Australian Open and the Qatar Open.

The 2025 Indian Wells champion was knocked out by Nicholas Jarry in the second round of the tournament last year. He is projected to face 11th seed Holger Rune or first seed Alexander Zverev in the quarterfinals and Ben Shelton in the semifinals.

If he reaches the final, he could set up another clash with Carlos Alcaraz, the 2022 Miami Open winner. The 21-year-old will be starting his campaign against Aleksandar Vukic or David Goffin.
