The Bloodline rules did hamper Cody Rhodes physically, but his title reign is still intact. It was absolute pandemonium during the closing moments of his title defense against Solo Sikoa at SummerSlam. The fans witnessed the epic return of Roman Reigns. He made that long walk down the aisle and smoked Sikoa like it was child’s play, enabling Rhodes to pick the win over the Tribal Chief pretender.

However, amidst all the chaos, Jacob Fatu seemingly injured himself. Before Reigns made his way out, Fatu was manhandling Cody. He even put The American Nightmare away with a frog splash from the top rope to the outside atop the announce table. Rhodes was done for, indeed; however, The Samoan Warewolf might’ve tweaked his leg in that high-risk sequence. He didn’t come to Solo’s rescue while he was getting spanked by Roman.

In a video captured by one of the attendees at SummerSlam, Fatu could be seen limping around. He was supported by WWE referees as they helped him back to the backstage area. In the post-show press conference, Triple H also confirmed that Jacob’s a bit banged up. He further affirmed that he’d net it out soon and hoped nothing was too serious.

Jacob Fatu is one-half of the current WWE Tag Team Champions with Tama Tonga. They ousted DIY last Friday on SmackDown to bag the doubles silverware. Interestingly, it was only Fatu’s third match in WWE. And he has a title around his waist. The fans would manifest that he’s fine after that scary-looking maneuver.

Where does the Bloodline story head after Roman Reigns’ return at SummerSlam?

Now that the OTC, Original Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns, is back, he could resume reclaiming his trespassed territory on SmackDown. A few weeks ago, Solo Sikoa asked The Head of the Table to try and take back the Tribal Chief’s throne if he could. And now, Solo might need to count his days.

Things are slowly heading towards a Bloodline Civil War. There are rumors that Reigns will soon rekindle with The Usos, backed up by Sami Zayn. They’d be up against Sikoa, the Tongans, and Jacob Fatu. The preferred destination for their match is likely to be inside the WarGames at Survivor Series.

As for unfinished business between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes, they might not be done. The former gave Cody a notorious smirk after laying waste to Solo. There’s a huge possibility that they would run it back down the road. Their last meeting at WrestleMania XL was a tactical masterclass.
